Drinking wine is beneficial for our health. A recent research stated that drinking this alcoholic beverage can make our brain neurons healthier.

Wine Is Good For Brain Neurons

Science Daily reported that experts have been discovering that average wine consumption can be advantageous in preventing the start of cognitive impairments in aging and neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. According to Dr. Esteban-Fernández from the Institute of Food Science Research in Madrid, he and other experts have been studying the molecular mechanisms carrying the neuroprotective effects of the drink.

How The Drink Prevents The Risks Of Diseases

The publication added that experts examined the components of the drink that are left after it has passed through the gut. The components are identified as gut metabolites. The researchers picked some of these metabolites based on their appearance in the urine and wastes of individuals drinking this type of drink on a normal basis.

They discovered that the metabolites are guarding the cells against deteriorating, due to stress circumstances. The most impressive outcome, though, was that the metabolites are working at various spots in the cell signaling cascade that is traversing to this cell death. The specific structure of the metabolites are therefore essential in the protective neuronal effect.

Other Health Benefits

Philly Voice reported that according to a research conducted by the French Paradox, red wine has resveratrol - this content asserted to guard the body's cells and tissues towards destruction that can cause cancer or heart illness. Other studies stated that people who are drinking this type of drink has 34 percent less mortality rate than beer drinkers.

This drink can also help in reducing risks of diabetes. Experts are still discovering further heath benefits we can get from wine. Stay tuned for more health related updates.
