A "Split" and "Unbreakable" sequel has recently been announced by M. Night Shyamalan. The sequel is titled "Glass" and is a combination of both prior films.

M. Night Shyamalan indicated in his tweet that it took him 17 years to finally get the sequel to "Split" and "Unbreakable" together. This for him is a dream come true in which both prequels are to collide in the latest film that he is currently developing according to CNN Entertainment.

It can be recalled that Bruce Willis made a cameo in the final scenes of Split. He came out as David Dunn who was his character in the film Unbreakable. This then gave fans a hint that there may be something coming up for the film.

Indeed, Shyamalan just confirmed about the sequel for "Split" and "Unbreakable." "Glass" is hinted to have all all-star returning cast from the previous films. It also will be more on a comic book thriller. Bruce Willis is to return a David Dunn in the sequel and so will Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Glass.

"Unbreakable" has been released nearly two decades ago and the memory of the film still lives on. In the meantime, James McAvoy will also reprise his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb in "Split" and all his 23 personalities will also be included.

Meanwhile, as can be seen, the title of the sequel is derived from Jackson's character in "Unbreakable." "Glass" is to follow on what happened to Mr. Glass from the first film. The sequel will also follow the events right after the final scene from "Split" as reported by Variety.

Dunn was seen to follow McAvoy's The Beast character from "Split." Shyamalan and Jason Blum are to be the producers of the film. Glass will then be another thriller film that Shyamalan is known for. This time the events from the previous films are to be integrated into one sequel.
