According to TVOM, Rick and Marty Lagina are confident about the presence of the pirate treasure hidden somewhere under the Oak Island. Folklore suggested that the treasure has a deadly curse and in "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5, the brothers will try to discover this particular treasure.

Although the Lagina brothers were not very much eager to continue after the fourth season, the high ratings of the finale episode and encouragement from the team motivated them to do "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5.

Lagina Brothers Planning Different Strategies

There is no word from the History Channel regarding the release or starting of the production of next season. However, reports indicate that after so many failures the brothers are this time trying a different strategy to discover the 200-year-old treasure. But nothing is confirmed yet as to what exactly they will be trying out in the upcoming "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5.

Mystery of Oak Island Deepens Further

The story of the Oak Island began in 1795 when a teenager Daniel McGinnis saw something strange one night. The next day, he started digging on the spot but did not get anything. The excavations have continued over the years and so has the various stories associated with it.

Every time people tried to dig the treasure, at every 10 feet deep, they found a hint like a timber layer or a wooden layer 20 feet deep, reports Mother Nature Network. So when the Lagina brothers will set out to start digging the hole in the upcoming "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5, they will think of all the options the previous treasure hunters have tried.
