Michael Schumacher is a Formula One legend - having won the championship seven times. Now, it seems that his son, Mick is gearing up to take up his legacy further ahead.

"Quick Mick" has signed up with Mercedes, which sponsored Schumi during the last few years of his career. The young lad has also signed up to star in a comedy video.

Michael Schumacher Legacy Continues

The son of Schumi will be making his debut in Formula 3 in late 2017, reports Express. All through these years, despite being in the limelight, the young guy never spoke of Michael Schumacher or his celebrated family. Currently, he is training in Spielberg, Austria.

For the first time during training, Mick spoke about Michael Schumacher publicly, saying that his dad is his role model and idol simply because he is the best, reports Daily Star. The complete Schumacher family has put up a brave front after the legendary F1 racer met an almost fatal accident during a skiing trip in 2013.

It has been a sad incident, which continues to plague Michael Schumacher and his family members. Even then they have been tight-lipped about their troubles and have ensured that the health updates of Schumi are kept private.

Mick Signs Up With Mercedes

Apart from the immobile condition of Michael Schumacher, the family also recently suffered another emotional jolt when Mick lost his favorite uncle to cancer. However, all these incidents have not broken the determination of the young Schumacher to follow his dream of becoming a Formula One Champion.

Mercedes-Benz signed Mick as their brand ambassador almost a week ago. It is the same team with which Michael Schumacher worked with from 2010 to 2012. Mick is also going to be a part of a series of comedy videos called "Furious Driving School" or "Fahrschule Furious."

So, despite all the odds, the son of Michael Schumacher is still determined to become a Formula One Champion just like his father.
