'Wonder Woman' Movie: Patty Jenkins Wants To Create A Classic Film

The filmmaker of the "Wonder Woman" movie has finally shared some spoilers about production. The producer says she is aiming to give viewers a classic film.

A report from Den of Geek stated that the "Wonder Woman" movie is finally starting. The director and producer of the film, Patty Jenkins has already started with the production of the movie, together with the cast and crew.

Jenkins has finally spoken about her interest about making the film and how she started working on it. She has reportedly thought how she should portray "Wonder Woman" in this generation, and how her passion for filmmaking and storytelling helped her complete the plot.

The "Monster" filmmaker also said that the she is aware that the representation of women has changed over the years. Jenkins also stated that there were changes made about the lead character.

"It did change, but interestingly it changed in a slightly different way. I went into it saying, ‘She’s my Superman.’ Like she cannot be dark or angry or nasty, and I kept seeing female heroes had to be some alt-character," Jenkins said. 

"They just could not be the main lead. They had to be made more interesting somehow. I was like, ‘No, no, no, not here. She is just got to be Wonder Woman. She is Wonder Woman. I love Wonder Woman, let her be, you know?’ she added

"Wonder Woman" Story Pitched 10 Years Ago; Diana's Costume

Apparently, Jenkins pitched the story 10 years ago, when she was doing short films about superheroes. Yet, she also admitted that she does not love all the superheroes in the world.

Meanwhile, Gamespot indicated that the costume of "Wonder Woman" is a mystical gift from the Gods. Diana Prince will have an ability to deflect bullets. "Wonder Woman" or Diana Prince will be portrayed by Gal Gadot. The movie will premiere in theaters on June 2.
