Melissa McCarthy continues to live a healthy lifestyle and fans of the "Ghostbusters" actress can see how much weight loss she had. The "Gilmore Girls" actress recently shared her secrets to the healthy changes in her body.

A new report from Foods 4 Better Health suggested that Melissa McCarthy is following a high-protein and low-carb diet for her weight loss strategy. The actress  is reportedly drinking a special smoothie to help her shed off excess pounds.

The publication added that McCarthy includes Paleo, Atkins, Zone, and Ketogenic in her diet. She believes that these weight loss plans have a great impact in her body, compared to the crash diets she used to follow.

The "Identity Thief" actress also drinks two cups of green tea daily. Reports said that the 46-year-old actress drinks the first cup in the morning and the second one during her lunch time. Green tea contains antioxidants and several nutrients which are helpful in weight loss.

McCarthy has reportedly shed 75 pounds because of her weight loss diet. Even if she already lost lots of weight, the actress is still committed to continue her effective diet and lose more. 

New Projects For Melissa McCarthy 

Meanwhile, McCarthy will star in the upcoming movie, "Can You Forgive Me," which is drama film. Daily Mail spotted the actress as she worked on her scenes. She was seen wearing a beanie, brown coat, and boots to protect herself from the winter weather. Several fans are now awaiting her new movie, especially now that she looks more healthy.
