Nicki Minaj 'Dresses Down' For Paris Fashion Week 2017: Here's The Details

The Haider Ackerman's fall 2017 show took place for the Paris Fashion Week 2017 last Saturday. However, it was Nicki Minaj who stole everyone's attention and, partly, the show.

The rapper showed up in a very provocative getup, which got everyone shocked - a Mugler one-shoulder blazer cut so low one of her breasts is exposed. To cover what needs to be hidden, she used an Agent Provocateur pasty. She also wore a Givenchy shorts and a sexy Alexandre Vauthier shoes to complete the look, which she posted on her Instagram.

Although her look for the Paris Fashion Week 2017 has garnered some criticisms, some people actually praised her daring ensemble. One of which is Caroline de Maigret who sat alongside her at the aforementioned show. The French model commented that her look was similar to a Pablo Picasso painting entitled "La femme à l'éventail" which was created more than a century ago.

But what really irked her critics is that she might have copied her Paris Fashion Week 2017 look from Lil Kim, fellow rapper and rival. Kim had donned a one-shoulder jumper with one breast exposed and a pasty when she appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1999 and made quite a statement back in the day. With that in mind, Highsnobiety stated it is a "contentious" choice of ensemble considering that both ladies are not in good terms with each other.

According to BallerStatus, Kim claims that Minaj started throwing subliminal shots her way on songs. Though Kim didn't mind at first, it was when they saw each other in public and Minaj gave her an eye, ignored her, and refusing to address the tension between them. "She looked right at me, had her head down, rolled her eyes and kept walking. You see me, say something," Kim explained.

Aside from Haider Ackerman's show, Nicki Minaj was also spotted at other Paris Fashion Week 2017 shows, including Balmain, Rick Owens, and H&M.
