‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: Pokemon Day Lacks The Push To Get Players Moving

Niantic offers another rare creature in celebration of Pokemon Day on “Pokemon Go”. This has to do with the special party hat Pikachu, which augmented reality players can find out in the wild. The steps in catching the pocket monster is expected to be the same one done last Christmas. This is with reference to the Santa hat Pikachu with the critter attributes remaining the same.

For the sake of collection, most are expected to be on the lookout for the party hat Pikachu on Pokemon Go, BGR reported. It adds another goal for players who are already busy trying to pin down the new pocket monsters brought in by the Gen 2 release. The new breed of Pokemon comes from the Johto region, all wandering out there somewhere. Somewhere along the way, don’t be surprised if a party-hat Pikachu pops on the map.

While the changes to “Pokemon Go” have kept most busy, there are Pokemon Go events still looming over the horizon. The last one happened during Valentine’s Day where spawns were increased. Compared to the Halloween and Christmas “Pokemon Go” events, the last one hardly made an impression. Whatever Niantic has planned, they may want to consider the fact that some AR gamers are no longer playing it in the manner it was designed from.

The spawn increases, regardless of occasional, have spoiled some “Pokemon Go” gamers in a sense. Once they pin down an area where there are volume spawns, all they have to do is stay there, Attack of the Fan Boy reported. One can just imagine the scenario when special events are held, negating the moving or walking part Niantic originally wanted to apply.

Niantic has its fair share of problems in keeping the game up and interesting. Increasing pocket monster spawns is laudable for some, but defeats the purpose of the “Go” part. If they make it harder, players will lose interest and abandon playing “Pokemon Go”. It is a chess match of sorts for Niantic as they try to move the pieces for a balanced augmented reality game.
