The fifth season of "Vikings" is nearing completion and it looks like the cast of the History series has decided to enjoy a nice dinner together. But is it possible that a photo from the party has confirmed the return to Ragnar Lothbrok? Some believe that the picture shows Travis Fimmel sitting alongside the young stars of the show.

The possible return of Travis Fimmel as Ragnar Lothbrok might seem improbable, but not necessarily impossible. There are speculations that "Vikings" Season 5 will feature a dream sequence or a flashback showing Ragnar during happier times. It is also possible that the former King of Kattegat will appear in a vision to his sons or even his beloved Lagertha. So does this new picture of the show's cast confirm that Ragnar will be back later this year?

The photo of the "Vikings" Season 5 cast was posted by Katheryn Winnick on her official Facebook page. The picture includes series regulars Jenny Jacques and Alex Hogh Andersen. In addition to that, new additions Adam Copeland and Darren Cahill are also in the photo. However, most fans took notice of someone who looked a lot like Travis Fimmel in a baseball hat. A closer look reveals that the man is actually Jordan Smith, who portrays Ubbe in the History series.

Katheryn Winnick's picture also had people wondering if Lagertha and Harald Finehair will be working together in "Vikings" Season 5. The previous season had concluded with the possibility that Harald could finally ascend to power and become the King of Norway. Is it possible that Ragnar Lothbrok's ex will forge an alliance with Harald soon?

History has not yet confirmed the "Vikings" Season 5 air date. However, there are speculations that an announcement will be made as soon as filming has wrapped. Hopefully, the series will return by summer this year.
