Microsoft unveiled its Surface Pro a day ahead of Apple's launch of its MacBook Pros. If we compare the specs and features of both these devices we will automatically understand which portable computer makes a better investment for school, home, and personal use.

MacBook Pro comes in two processor options. A sixth generation core i5 Skylake processor and a sixth generation core i7 Skylake processor. The company also tried to improve the graphical performance side of things.

On the other hand, the Surface Book is equipped with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 965M GPU and the memory is 2GB with DDR5. According to Microsoft the graphical performance of the device is double as compared to its processor.

There are two display sizes for the MacBook Pro. The 13.3-inch display is for its entry-level offering whereas the high-end device is equipped with a 15.4-inch screen. The 15.4-inch display has 2880/1800 resolution and 220ppi whereas the 13. 3-inch screen has 2560/1600 resolution and 227ppi. The new screens are 67% brighter than the older models.

The Surface Book of Microsoft has retained the older screen display of 3000/2000 resolution because the company intends to bring the 3.2 aspect ratio of its surface devices to the 13.5-inch panel of the Surface Book.

As far as the design is concerned the premium version of Surface Pro will have a detachable screen instead of detachable Type cover. The device is comprised of magnesium case and Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge which will keep the laptop balanced at all angles. This device will also have a detachable display.

The MacBook Pro has been upgraded as far as the display is concerned. There are more rich and vibrant colors, a massive Force Touch Trackpad, and an upgraded keyboard.

Surface Book is a perfect device for software like AutoCAD and Abode Creative Cloud. On the other hand, the MacBook Pro's are geared towards heavy computer users. Apple is not focusing on something that provides a high-tech artistic tool to the consumers.
