As rumored earlier this month, the much awaited Android 7.1 version-Nougat is finally available exclusively on Google's devices-Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C tablet. It is now officially confirmed that those who have signed up for the new developer's preview will start receiving the new 7.1 beta version.

The latest Android OS version is expected to be available to other devices like Lenovo, Samsung HTC, LG and others from November onwards. However, the one more update is promised in November with the final release slated in December 2016.

The final version will be first rolled out on the Google flagship products-Pixel & Pixel XL. Later on, the 7.1 version will be available for other brands.

 As per IBTimes UK  to install the new latest developer preview, the users have 3 ways:

1.      Android Beta Program- Users can sign up for Android Beta program and the final version will be updated automatically.

2.      Users can download the factory image as a TGZ image and flash the image to a phone using the flash.bat method.    

3.      Users can also download the OTA(On-the Air) Zip file, which will automatically preview software.

The Verge said users can install the developer update immediately and avail new features like Night Light, long-press app shortcuts, support for new circular icons, and optimizations to touch and display responsiveness among other changes.

"We're delivering the initial Developer Preview at beta quality for the Nexus line up of devices," wrote Google's Dave Burke in Android Developers blog post. He further added, "The goal is to tease out any device-specific issues."

Google is gearing up with to take on Apple OS 10 software to keep itself aloft of the competition.  The Android version is believed to remove bugs that detected in current Android 6 version-Marshmallow. With the new Android 7.1 OS, Google wants to make lure customers to Android platform offering exciting features to users.
