Is Nvidia's $109 the Ge-Force GTX 1050 Answer to AMD

Nvidia is a renowned brand when it comes to graphic cards. Presently Nvidia cleared the high-end graphic cards competition with its latest 10-series of cards.

The price point would be more than$200; AMD is struggling completely on all fronts, the price, performance and efficiency that Nvidia offers with more modern Pascal architecture.

Now Pascal is ready with the budgeted category of new GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti cards. The starting price would be $109 to $139.

The difference of 30 dollars can be justified as Ti version has 4GB of DDR5 on the other hand 1050 is comprised of half the memory. 1050 Ti has 768 CUDA cores as compared to 1050 having only 640.

For a crisp comparison, Nvidia's 1050 cards are equipped with 6GB and 3GB flavors. The memory speed is very fast, the clock speed is awesome and few more CUDA cores.

The thing to be noticed is that 1050 is the first ever Pascal which is not labeled 'VR ready'. Though it may match the new minimum speck oculus recently published.

On the other side of the story, there are speculations that AMD will lower the price of its Radeon RX 470 card to $169 so as to compete with Nvidia.

The consumer will have to wait and watch for the better point of reference, to understand the better deal. Although there is a fight break in this price range which is great.

Perfect competition is always in the favor of the customer otherwise a single producer monopolizes the market. Though Nevada and AMD are pursuing their personal battles but its outcome shall be beneficial from a customer's perspective.

Ti 1050 will be available in the market on or after 25th of October while 1050 may hit the market before this date.  Custom versions of few other suspects like EVGA, ASUS, MSI, Zotac etc shall be made on 8th November.
