Microsoft has a big event planned on Oct. 26, which will invariably focus on Windows 10, and its hardware. However, according to latest rumors the event might also see the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2, and the all - in - one Surface PC.

Meanwhile, tech experts believe that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have an upgraded processor to boost its features. This means, the newest Surface Pro will have Intel Kaby Lake Processor, which will deliver maximum performance, providing better battery life.

Considering the delivery date of the Kaby Lake Processor, it is estimated that the Surface Pro might not be released this year, reported GamenGuide. However, the publication has also mentioned that Microsoft might opt for another processor in that case.

Additionally, it is rumored that there might be two variations for the upcoming Surface Pro. A low-end adaptation with a 2K display, and  a top variation with a 4K display for the high - end users. Both the models will have a 16 GB RAM, but the other features of the models are yet to be disclosed.

As for the release date, PC Advisor UK mentions that it might not be released this year. Additionally, the reduction in prices of Surface Pro 4 by Microsoft suggests that the next event might not put Surface Pro 5 on the shelves. The publication believes that since Microsoft released its last model on Oct. 2015, there are slim chances of releasing the next version before 12 months.

As of now, there has been no official statement from Microsoft about the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro 5. So, users of Microsoft would need to stay tuned to news to catch the latest updates.
