“Winds of Winter” Release Date News: Martin’s Books Cancelled? Fans To Boycott Season 7?

The next book of the "Game of Thrones" series by George R. R. Martin, titled "Winds of Winter" has seen a lot of delays. So much so, that speculation is rife in the air that it might not be released at all.

Although Martin has previously apologized for not keeping up to the schedule and mentioned that he doesn't work well with schedules, yet it cannot be denied that HBO has delayed the premiering to 2018 because of this.

Additionally, fans who have been following "Game of Thrones" have noted that the storyline has deviated from the books Martin has penned down. HBO announcements say "Game Of Thrones" executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss are condensing the remaining developments in "A Song Of Ice And Fire" saga in Season 7 and 8, reported Parent Herald.

Thus, considering the changes in scripts, and the possible deviation from the storyline, fans of "A Song of Ice And Fire" might not stick with the television version of "Game of Thrones" season 7 and 8. As such, "Game of Thrones" might lose a majority of its fans.

Meanwhile, considering the delay of the next book, fans have been speculating that it might have been canceled. However, Martin has  assured the readers that the sixth season of "Game of Thrones" is already done. Martin has also acknowledged that his age and  schedule has been affecting his creative spirit.

Whatever might be the case, it seems that "Game of Thrones" fans will have to wait for Winter to know more about what will be happening. Staying tuned to news might be a great way to stay updated!
