Latest Game Of Thrones Episode Leaked: HBO Nordic Drops Major Spoilers?

By George Houston | Update Date: May 23, 2016 06:10 AM EDT

Before Game of Thrones Episode 5 "The Door" will air tonight, a leak of the episode made its rounds on the internet allegedly courtesy of HBO Nordic.

According to The Verge, TorrentFreak first got wind of source material as it was made available for several hours via torrent and pirating web sites yesterday for netizens in the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

This is the first leak of the sixth season which surprisingly originated from a prime HBO affiliate as confirmed by the website via a screen shot image to verify the legitimacy that it was uploaded out of the blue on HBO Nordic.

It was also mentioned that the quality however of the pirated copy was rather low but it garnered a lot of hits from rabid Game of Thrones fans.

During the 4th and the 5th season, the HBO series was the most pirated TV show from 2014 to 2016. The giant cable television network has continued to struggle with such setbacks by offering a synchronized premiere in all 170 countries not just on cable but on steaming sites like HBO GO and HBO Now as well.

HBO also do away with the advance press screenings of the first couple of episode for the 6th season as they are still badgered by last season's online leak for the first four episodes as it ruined the story arc for persevering fans.

The narrative for tonight's episode titled "The Door" is:

"Tyrion seeks a strange ally; Bran learns a great deal; Brienne goes on a mission; Arya gets a chance to prove herself."

Now that he's an HBO employee, Bill Simmons has a little more access to Game of Thrones one would think. Well, on his latest podcast a Reddit user pointed out Simmons said he heard tonight's episode will be an "all-timer."
