The long wait of fans has proved fruitful as Frank Ocean's new album is confirmed to be in the making. The singer, James Blake revealed in a recent interview that long awaited Frank Ocean's new album is in the works.

Ocean's album "Boys Don't Cry" was expected to be released in the mid of last year and unfortunately we didn't get to hear anything about his upcoming work till date. The singer has kept mum about his album all the while, however, that didn't stop his eager fans from giving up on expectations.

Now, Blake has spilled beans about working closely with Ocean and has also noted that the album is worth the wait. However, we have no idea just yet whether Ocean will be releasing his much anticipated album "Boys Don't Cry" or he is going to surprise us with a new one instead.

"In the middle of recording, I felt like I wasn't going to finish this record if I didn't get some help and start working with other people...So I though, 'Fuck this, I'm going to spend time with other engineers,'" Blake said, according to Independent. "The idea came from working with Frank Ocean, who was a huge inspiration for this record: his process, the way he writes, the strength of what he does, who he is. We became very good friends," Blake added.

Blake also noted about his failed collaboration with Kim Kardashian's famous husband Kanye West. Blake is said to have tried his best in involving West in his album after the rapper publicly announced his interest in working with Blake. However, things didn't seem to have materialized for Blake's new album, "The Colour in Anything" which was released recently.

"I wanted Kanye to be on the song 'Timeless,' but the verse didn't materialize. I think a huge swath of things happened in his life, and I just stayed out of it," Blake said, reported Complex Music. Eventually, the mood of the album changed, and in the end I don't think it would have fit. But I didn't say I was working with Kanye just so people would get interested-I really wanted him to be on it."
