Viv Vs Siri: Who Is The Smarter AI?

In the battle of the voice-controlled assistance, Siri creator Dag Kittlaus may be putting the closing stages to his previous creation with the first public demo of Viv, another AI virtual system but with a much superior level of interfacing. The flawlessness of this new personal assistant is the "stackability" of inquiries at hand for the user. While Siri focuses on short-term memorized platforms, Viv takes a head strong approach with bombarded queries minus the much needed refocusing for a follow-up context.

The inventor mentioned on stage during the TechCrunch presentation in New York that Viv will pioneer the next wave of computer interaction as it will breathe life into the inanimate objects of our life through conversation."

As a pre-starter for Viv's stage show, KIttlaus asked the often repeated query of, "Will it be warmer than 70-degrees near the Golden gate bridge after 5pm the day after tomorrow?"

Viv immediately gave the weather report which was then followed other queries before Kittlaus asked Viv to pay a specific amount of money to his friend of which the assistant followed after Kittlaus pushed a button via Venmo integration paying system.

"Instead of having to write every code instructed, you're really just describing what you want it to do. The whole idea of Viv is that developers can go in and build any experience that they want," Kittlaus put it into plain words.

This explains why one of the biggest keys to Viv's success is have an ongoing "perfecting the third-party ecosystem."

Viv relies heavily on integration with third-party services like Uber and Venom and Kittlaus noted that this type of integration is crucial to the personal assistant's success.

With that said, the inventors of Viv are pushing to make their previous creation into extinction.

According to BBC, the previous creators of Siri are no longer seeing eye to eye with Steve Jobs company Apple that is why they packed their bags and left hoping to create something better and new.
