The latest update for the Google Smart watch, Android Wear 1.4, that runs on its OS has been released and comes with two crucial improvements to the way one can use the device. According to the new update, the smart watch is capable of detecting and interpreting gestures made by the hands as well as the wrists so that a user is able to navigate and control the device by simply moving their hands. This update is very helpful as it would require a free hand to tap or swipe the screen. In the other update the user gets the future calling support with audio feedback. If you have a smart watch that is equipped with a speaker, you would be able to receive notifications or alerts from the watch directly, reports Tech Times.

However, with this update, one aspect that will not be received well by the users is the removal of battery status from the screen. Users who like to keep a tab of their battery and other statistics will not be very happy with this new update. As far as Google is concerned, they don't plan to bring it back in the future updates too, says iDigital Times.

The big update released by Android for its smart watch is not just for allowing cellular data but will also be highly crucial when your hands are not free. Google reveals that their new update, Android Wear 1.4, has many other hand gestures that go beyond the usual tricks. The audio feedback will be a good addition for people with smart watches that are equipped with speakers. However, even if you do not get the audio, you should still upgrade the OS for the other features, says Engadget.
