"Sherlock" Season 5 Updates: Recast Ruled Out

There has always been a lingering fear in the minds of fans that season 5 may never happen. They keep asking, "Will there be more?" There have always been long gaps between its previous seasons but viewers do not mind such stretches, as long as those episodes return.

The fear that this show may not have another run is being a concern, since the two popular lead actors of the series Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman made up their minds that they were done, Anglophenia reported. When the showrunner and co-creator Steven Moffat was asked by RadioTimes if the writers of "Sherlock" would consider recasting the detective and John Watson, he answered quite predictably.

Moffat, as expected was very clear with his answer. He said, "Absolutely not. Under no circumstances." The showrunner further expanded the contribution of Cumberbatch and Freeman,

He added, "This version of Sherlock Holmes is these two actors., it absolutely is. And I know that because I saw it the very first time that Martin and Benedict played those parts together in the audition room." Reportedly, it was Cumberbatch who got cast first, followed by Freeman for Watson.

Follow-up Concert As Tribute to "Sherlock" Season 4

The composer duo, Price and Arnold are all set for a follow-up concert to celebrate the hit series "Sherlock," starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. However the second music concert will not be featured in the BBC Proms series, another report from the same outlet noted.

Arnold shared with an outlet that he expects it to be a good night. But the lineup for the next "Sherlock" music concert is not confirmed yet. However, the duo did confirm that it will have music from season 4.
