It might still be a long wait for the fifth season of "Vikings", but the cast of the History series certainly know how to tease fans with behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming season. Ferdia Walsh-Peelo is one of the new actors who will debut in "Vikings" Season 5 and the "Sing Street" star has been sharing a few intriguing photos while filming for the show. But does this mean that a grown-up Alfred will lead an attack on Ragnar Lothbrok's sons and the Great Heathen Army when the series returns later this year?

Alfred has proven to be a rather important character in "Vikings" who has been given an interesting storyline. There is little doubt that the show intends to portray Athelstan and Judith's son as King Alfred the Great, a historical monarch who battled the Northmen. So is it possible that Alfred will face the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok in "Vikings" Season 5? Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, who is set to portray the prince in the upcoming season, may have confirmed a bloody battle between the English and the Great Heathen Army will once again be a major highlight in the series.

Ferdia Walsh-Peelo has posted an interesting photo on Instagram that shows the "Sing Street" star covered in blood. The young actor, who is expected to play the teenage Alfred in "Vikings" Season 5, even added a cyptic caption that may have confirmed a fatal encounter with the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok. What did Walsh-Peelo mean by "real mean stuff"? Has Alfred killed one of Ragnar's sons in battle?

Will Alfred take on Ragnar Lothbrok's sons and the Great Heathen Army and actually succeed? Fans will have to wait until Ferdia Walsh-Peelo makes his debut in "Vikings" Season 5, which is expected to air on History in summer.
