Bethesda certainly has several projects planned for the future, and gamers are definitely hoping for the long-awaited sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6". So when exactly will "TES6" finally begin development? "Skyrim" director Todd Howard has just stated that people shouldn't hold their breath for the title. The studio would rather have everyone focus on two huge games that could change a lot of things for Bethesda.

It's no secret that Bethesda has plenty of new titles in development at the moment and fans have been hoping that at least one of these games could be "The Elder Scrolls 6". It doesn't matter that the studio has repeatedly denied "TES6" being a current project; people continue to beg for the sequel to be announced. Unfortunately, "Skyrim" director Todd Howard doesn't have any good news about this, but he sure is optimistic about "Fallout 4" in VR.

Todd Howard recently spoke to IGN, where he revealed that Bethesda is currently working on "seven projects". Two of these projects includes "Skyrim" for Nintendo Switch as well as the highly anticipated "Fallout 4" in VR. But is there any possibility that at least one of these games the studio is working on is "The Elder Scrolls 6"? Howard insists that "TES6" will not happen right now (possibly confirming that the title is not in development) and Bethesda might only begin work on it in the far, far future.

Fans shouldn't feel too bad about "The Elder Scrolls 6" being pushed further away in the future. According to Todd Howard, Bethesda has two upcoming projects that are "kind of different" and are set to be pretty huge. In addition to that, the studio is currently hard at work on a mobile game similar to "Fallout Shelter". People can also look forward to "Skyrim" for Nintendo Switch as well as "Fallout 4" in VR.
