Saying goodbye to the popular CW series will be quite tough for its fans. The season's finale will be aired on Mar. 10. The crew and the cast of "The Vampire Diaries" bid adieu to each other some days ago, according to The Siver Times.

But what was more interesting to note was both Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder brought gifts for their entire team. While the interpreter of Damon Salvatore got special thank you mugs, that of Elena chose keys with a special line engraved on it: "TVD forever".

So, there is no doubt that the end of this series roll be marked by nostalgic moments and anecdotes. Both Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder have had great rapport from the very beginning. The understanding was somewhat similar to what their on-screen characters, the Salvatore brothers had.

According to a report in TV Series Finale, Paul Wesley got pretty emotional when he read the script of the series finale. In fact, he even shared that he tore up the script after going through it.

Some other outlets reported that he took a selfie to capture his reaction and sent it to Showrunner Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson. The season finale will also include other stars like Ian Somerhalder, Candice King, Kat Graham, Malarkey, Mathew Davis in major roles. Though Wesley was reportedly not quite sentimental over the end of his supernatural series, it seems he was extremely moved while filming for the finale episode.

Wesley had his last scene with Dobrev, who was seen in the role of Elena from Season 1 to Season 6. However, the actress returned to shoot for the final chapter of the show.
