iPad Pro 2 Latest News & Update: Confusion Arises On The State Of iPad Mini 4 For March

Apple is expected to hold an event this March that will introduce the new breed of iPad Pros. There are several variants expected to be shown, but most are interested in the state of the iPad Mini 4. With four variants reportedly launching, the 7.9-inch is being pegged to take the place of the iPad Mini 4 with the 10.5-inch the new model in the mix.

Expected to be out next month at the Apple event is the new line of iPad Pros, which will be accompanied by a 128 GB iPhone SE and new red colored iPhone 7 and 7 Plus units, Mac Otakara reported. The iPad Pro 2 will come in variants in 7.9-, 9.7-, 10.5- and 12.9-inch sizes. The problem is that other reports have failed to mention the 7.9-inch in their forecasts which throws most off guard.

Worth noting here are the specs of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2, as pointed out by Mac Rumors. It seems to carry the same aesthetics of the iPad Mini screen plus the alleged edge-to-edge display, Digitimes reported. However, Mac Otakara claims that the 7.9-inch will still use the Smart Connector and 12 MP iSight camera, which are key features for the bigger iPad Pro 2 versions. The bigger variants will use A10x chips while the smaller ones A9X.

With the merry mix-up, the state of the iPad Mini 4 is the one that could be at risk. There is a chance that Apple could be moving up and integrate the smaller variant, something that has been mentioned before. With multiple product lines, the Cupertino company is believed to be streamlining its niches that could allow them to focus better.

The iPad Pro has also been a hit with the consumer electronics market. All that aside, the question here is whether an iPad Mini 4 will still be around or not. All that should be answered next month at the upcoming Apple event as iPad Pro 2 talk heats up.
