It has been two years since the first coming of the iPad Pro and most are eager to see if the iPad Pro 2 can add more flavor and functionality this 2017. Anticipation is high for the sequel with analysts shedding out their takes one after the other. Analyst Gene Munster has been monitoring the patents being filed by the Cupertino company and believes that a foldable iPad Pro 2 could be possibly coming.

Munster has gotten his share of criticism but the analyst has been vindicated at times. Now, he hints out the current patent activities as an indication of things to come with Apple toying with the idea of adding some foldable options according to Apple Must. The timing is also perfect, thanks in part to the foldable devices seen on the HBO series “Westworld”.

It may be a long-shot for most but it does call to mind the Microsoft Surface Pro angle. The iPad Pro 2 could technically come with a keyboard to make it an all-in-one though it may be a detachable and optional accessory. The difference with Muster’s take is that the alleged folding tablets are one whole device that modern day techies will use for their daily routines.

Aside from the foldable iPad Pro 2 pitch, the next big iPad is expected to tote a bezel-free screen. There will be no Home button with Touch ID believed to be integrated into the display screen of the said tablet, Mac Otakara reported. The front-facing Facetime camera will continue to be at its usual place.

March is pegged as the logical date to see the iPad Pro 2 though all that is up for confirmation. Apple is expected to come up with a big launch event highlighted by three new iPad models. The iPad Mini 5 was initially believed to be included in the mix but Apple Insider claims that no mini model will happen this Spring.
