Sony Announces New 'Boost Mode' For PS4 Pro For Faster Gaming Experience

Great news for gamers as Sony has already confirmed the new boost mode feature of PS4 Pro. It is expected that this feature will surely improve and hasten the gaming experience of PS4 Pro players. With this, the previous PS4 titles will run faster on its new hardware.

According to The Verge, the latest firmware update of Sony's PlayStation 4 will be rolled out as version 4.50. Boost mode as a great feature will be experienced by PS4 players even if they were not yet optimized by the developer. As they will install the software upgrade, the PS4 console owners just need to find "Boost Mode" option in the settings menu.

On the other hand, this new feature from the latest firmware upgrade for the regular PS4. Moreover, this Boost Mode should also be run at a larger storage of GPU and CPU clock speed. This will cause an improved gaming experience on some PS4 titles. These PS4 games were released before the launching of the new PS4 Pro.

"Games that have a variable frame rate may benefit from a higher frame rate, and load times may be shorter in some games too." Emphasized by the spokesperson of Sony.

Moreover, it only means that Boost Mode updates will not be available for all the game titles of PlayStation 4. Also as reported in Business Insider, Sony has an advisory that this boos mode feature might give unexpected behavior of PS4 Pro which is running under a full speed. Some PS4 gamers can be problematic as there are no specific titles which can be have the new feature called Boost mode.

Some can be disgusted and some can be excited about this update. On the other hand, this upcoming firmware upgrade version 4.50 will give support to all PS4 models for the external hard drives. In PSVR, players will have the chance to watch 3D Blu-rays. Stay tuned for more updates!
