The "Prison Break" series has become a part of show's fans routine for four solid years. So when the Fox television serial drama ended in 2009, fans were not the only ones who got heartbroken. It appears that Michael Scofield himself, Wentworth Miller, was also affected by it. Now that "Prison Break" Season 5 is on its way to everyone's TV screens again, the actor is hoping that it will not end so soon.

Although "Prison Break" Season 5 is definitely happening, the beloved show will not stay on air for long. The creator, Paul Scheuring, has decided to only have nine episodes for this last and final installment of the "Prison Break" series. Paul Scheuring has previously revealed that he didn't want "Prison Break" to end like the American thriller television series, "Odyssey."

The show creator shared that he wanted to bring "Prison Break" back to give a different ending to it, other than leaving fans to think that Michael Scofield was dead in "Prison Break: The Final Break." Now that that show creator is happy with what they have done for the ending of "Prison Break" Season 5, he may not see the point of dragging the story longer.

However, Wentworth Miller has previously noted that there may still be a chance that "Prison Break" Season 5 will get more than nine episodes, but they will need the positive feedback of the viewers for that to happen. While attending the 2016 Attitude Awards back in October, Wentworth Miller confirmed that "Prison Break" Season 5 will only have nine episodes, but if well-received by the viewers then the show may get more.

"There could be another conversation about another bite of the apple," the actor told Digital Spy. In the meantime, catch Wentworth Miller in "Prison Break" Season 5 when it premieres on April 4, 2017.
