The creator of "Limitless" has made it clear time and time again that a sequel for the CBS show is definitely not happening. But despite his confirmation of the cancellation, fans are still not giving up on the possibility of "Limitless" Season 2, and still hoping for CBS to renew it and for Amazon and Netflix to pick the next installment up.

When fellow CBS show, "Supergirl," was given a new home in The CW, many believed that "Limitless" Season 2 will be given that chance as well after being dropped by the network. However, the show didn't get much luck like the superhero action-adventure drama television series.

While "Supergirl" is now on its second season, fans are still hoping for any outlets to finally pick "Limitless" Season 2 up. Although Netflix did stream the first season in their service, the outlet was not interested in pursuing "Limitless" Season 2. One fan was definitely unhappy that the show was not given a chance and has decided to start an online petition.

Another fan shared that she is still hopeful that either CBS, Amazon, or Netflix would realize how much the viewers want to see "Limitless" Season 2" basing on the number of supporters who signed the petition. "As long as people are signing, articles are being written," the fan wrote adding that she will not give up on "Limitless" Season 2.

It has been reported that the mysterious drug NZT had been the main reason why "Limitless" Season 2 was never picked up. Amazon and Netflix are aware that they can not control the age of their viewers, but they can control what kind of series they can stream to the public. Unfortunately for "Limitless," its concept may just be too complicated for the outlets.
