Stephen Curry, the star player who is appearing for the Golden State Warriors for the eighth consecutive season this year, has been in a super form. And this has made not only his performance a topic of discussion but himself as one of the favorites for those who love NBA trade rumors.

While Curry's Warriors "Splash Brother" Klay Thompson has been making the headlines all along, now it is time for the 28-year-old point guard to get his own share of the spotlight. According to a report in iTech Post, latest trade rumors suggest that Curry is set to be traded with D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The speculation is all the more rife since Curry's four-year contract extension with the Warriors is about to end next year. Moreover, as the iTech Post report added, Russell and Randle are predicted to become superstars in times to come and the duo's performance against the Warriors in the game on November 4 also caught many eyes in the GSW camp. The Warriors lost that match 97-117, one of the only two losses they have suffered in an otherwise impeccable run this season (9-2) so far.

Also, Curry's joining the Lakers seemed possible because of his rapport with the Lakers' coach Luke Walton, according to a report in Morning News USA.

But the exchange of Curry with two Lakers youngsters could also remain a speculation since their values do not equal that of Curry. Besides, rumors that the Warriors are likely to focus more on Kevin Durant next season are also doing the rounds, which means Curry would have to leave the GSW.

Recent updates have said that Curry will be under an unrestricted free agency and if the Warriors indeed release him, the two-time MVP will not fall sort of options to choose from. According to reports, a lot of teams are keeping an eye on the star because he has accomplished a lot of feats for the Warriors since 2009. Despite a modest deal made with the Warriors in 2012, Curry has never fell short of the performance and still wants to be with the Warriors, which shows his level of commitment besides of course the skills.
