It is indeed exciting news for fans to note that new still photographs of "Outlander" Season 3 have been released. Meanwhile, Sam Heughan gives the latest updates on filming in South Africa.

For fans of this sci-fi series, the #droughtlander is certainly coming to an end as new stills featuring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe surfaced recently, Just Jared reported. A teaser for "Outlander" Season 3 is likely to make its debut on coming Sunday evening and so it is like an icing on the cake for the show's viewers.

It was indeed a thrilling experience to see Heughan riding a horse while Balfe's Claire was seen with Frank, her first husband. Though the two leading characters are separated by time and distance, the clip featured their deep love for one another. Viewers are also waiting anxiously for the episode when the two lovebirds will reunite on screen defying all obstacles in their respective lives.

Starz has already declared its premiere date for season 3. The Scottish actor took to Twitter recently to tease details with respect to the current whereabouts of the production team while they shoot in South Africa.

Heughan confirmed on social media that filming for first two episodes of "Outlander" Season 3 are completed. So, it signifies that there are still three more episodes to be done.

According to a report, the first eight episodes of Season 3 have been shot in Scotland. On the other hand, the voyage scenes have been done in Cape Town, South Africa, HoFMag wrote. The team is likely to wrap up it's shooting in the month of June and then proceed for post-production, editing and other formalities before it airs on TV screens this Sept.
