'Winds of Winter' Release Date News: George R.R. Martin Goes Through Mar. 'Madness'; Details Here

The release date of George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" has been a burning question in his fans' minds. Meanwhile, the writer shared why the month of Mar. has been sheer madness for him.

The author, by his own admission, said in the past that it has been a struggle for him to complete the sixth installment of his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Moreover, it has been also reported that he is tied up with a probable HBO project and the launch of his foundation. George R.R. Martin wrote in his blog that this Mar. has been "madness" for him.

The author had also shared that he is having a discussion about something he cannot reveal now. However, there is a likelihood of it being a new television show, The Christian Post wrote.

Now, though Martin has a hectic schedule and some other projects in the pipeline, he insisted that Winds of Winter" has been "always always" among the things he is trying his best to complete. Martin wrote that there was so much to do and yet the days pass so fast.

He also mentioned that he loves all his work and projects. He added, "but sometimes it seems as if the harder I work, the further behind I get."

"Winds of Winter" News: What to Expect

This highly-anticipated book is expected to reveal answers to the cliffhangers in the earlier installment of "A Dance with Dragons." Martin had teased that his new book will open with the two big battles that he has been thinking of.

In Jan. this year, Martin had also hinted that he is yet to complete "Winds of Winter" but he is making progress. The writer believes that the book will be out by this year, Celebeat mentioned.

But, it is interesting to note he thought the same thing even last year. However, many fans believe that "Winds of Winter" will release within this year.
