‘Rush Hour 4’ Update: Dwayne Johnson & Johnny Depp’s Name Listed With Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker

It has been over a decade since “Rush Hour 3” grossed $258,022,233 worldwide. Now the time has come for another sequel titled “Rush Hour 4” and if the reports are considered true, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are all set to reprise their roles. Bret Ratner, the director of martial arts action comedy franchise titled “Rush Hour” teased bystanders at the Sun Valley Film Festival recently that he and his team members are working on it.

According to Movie Web, the 48-year old Ratner dropped a hint that he was actually not glad how the third sequel ended. However, as far as the making of “Rush Hour 4” is concerned, he truly wants to bring back Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker to the theater screen with the introduction of two new faces. But he did not reveal if he has already finished deal with two new actors.

Will Dwayne Johnson And Johnny Depp Act In Rush Hour 4?

Nevertheless, some reports are claiming that Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock may be seen in the upcoming “Rush Hour 4.” Although Pirates Of The Caribbean” lead actor, Johnny Depp was earlier in talks to act in the sequel but some reports recently revealed that the actor’s reported ongoing marital dispute with Amber Heard caused him to be put on hold.

Since 2009, the media has been talking Ratner’s idea of creating “Rush Hour 4.” Tucker is already ready and quite excited to reprise his iconic role but Chan wants to ensure that before signing the project, the script has enormous potential to create a mark in the industry.

However, now Chan’s role is already confirmed as he and Tucker already signed the contract in 2015. They have also met several times to discuss the project. Tucker already said a couple of months back that they are giving their efforts to make the movie highly compelling added with complete fun, reports Collider.
