'Poldark' Star Aidan Turner Gets Company Of New Trio In Season 3; Nautical-Themed Restaurant Opens In Series' Home Port
There is still some time left for the premiere of "Poldark" Season 3, However Mammoth Screen, the production house of the show revealed some latest casting news officially. Three new actors join "Poldark" star Aidan Turner in the upcoming season.
"Poldark" Season 3 Casting Update
Aidan Turner could face some competition in the new season from two new hunks, who are the latest to join the cast. The first one is John Hopkins who was earlier seen in the "Midsomer Murders" and "Dancing on the Edge."
The actor will be portraying the role of Sir Francis Basset, CarterMatt reported. It is to be seen how much screen space the actor gets in season 3.
The second actor to join the cast is Will Merrick who acted in the "Skins" and "Brief Encounters." Merrick has quite a distinct look, thanks to his red hair. The actor will be seen in the character of Arthur Solway in "Poldark" Season 3.
The final actor to complete this trio in the series is Esme Coy. She makes an entry in the third season as Roswella Chynoweth. Out of these three, Coy is relatively new in the industry and has earlier acted in an episode of the series titled "Goodnight Sweetheart."
New Restaurant To Open In 'Poldark' Series' Charlestown
According to latest reports, Charlestown, which is the home port in the series will soon have a new place for the foodies to eat out, Cornwall Live wrote. The new restaurant will be located in the famous shipwreck center of the village. The restaurant will be based on a nautical theme and is owned by Tim Smit.
Its menu will be inspired by those sailors, who had set off and then came back to their homes in the Charlestown port. This port has become a household name courtesy of BBC One's hit series "Poldark," starring Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson.
"Poldark" Season 3 is expected to premiere this fall on BBC One.
