It's been a couple of years since the last "How to Train Your Dragon" film hit theaters and while it's understandable to have to wait a long time for animated flicks to arrive, some viewers may have gotten impatient.

Here's some news to tide over the wait, however, as Jay Baruchel admitted the 2019 film tells the "strongest story" in the animated series. "How to Train Your Dragon 3" was originally slated to arrive this year, but was moved to two dates in 2018 before settling on a final Mar. 1, 2019 date.

Third Installment Updates

This week's JoBlo Movie Show Podcast featured "How to Train Your Dragon 3" star, Jay Baruchel, gladly shared an update on the highly anticipated sequel. The actor said that he has already laid down voice work for the film, albeit in a handful of recording sessions. He said that it's a sporadic process in which he'll go into the studio for a couple of hours every two to four months.

While Jay Baruchel said that the 2019 film tells the "strongest story" in the animated series, he said that he was forbidden to release any official details about it just yet.
