The much-awaited new season of "House of Cards" Season 5 will premiere in May. The Underwoods may finally see a new enemy who may topple them.

With less than three months to go for "House of Card" Season 5, there are rumors of many new angles that are expected in the series. There are rumors that Frank may not stay in the presidential office in the next season as Claire planning to rid of her husband for good.

Confirmed Cast:

It has been confirmed that Patricia Clarkson together with Campbell Scott will be part of the cast of the new season, according to Den of Geek. Clarkson is a brilliant actress who has appeared on numerous TV series including "Six Feet Under" and "Parks and Recreation." Scott is also another common face on TV, with a role on "Royal Pains" and other top screenings.

What to expect:

Netflix remained silent when it came to releasing info for the anticipated Season 5, so there are not a lot of confirmed facts about the upcoming season. In this season, creator Beau Willimon will not be taking part in, as he left in 2016. After his departure, Mellissa James, a senior series writer, and Frank Pugliese took his role in the production of the series.

With Netflix not releasing info on the new cast members, it had led to speculation that they may be playing vital roles in the new season. According to strong sources, Clarkson may be a great enemy who will stand up against the unstoppable Frank Underwood.

Currently, the Underwoods are at the peak of success. Surrounded by health complications and marital problems, the couple agrees to compromise for the sake of politics. It appears that the couple will continue to fight for their thrones in the new season. With elections nearing, fans should contemplate a lot of deceptive and fear-soliciting strategies by the president.
