It would be difficult to imagine any other actor in the role of "X-Men" leader Professor Charles Xavier, but it seems that Patrick Stewart is set on handing over the torch to someone else. The 76-year old actor, who doesn't even look a day over 60 and originated the role 17 years ago, said that he's ready to exit the role of Professor X. The Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award nominated actor said that "Logan" would be the last film that he would play Professor X in.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Patrick Stewart joined Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen on The Graham Norton Show, during which they were promoting "Logan." "X-Men" fans may be disappointed to know that the actor is retiring his wheelchair, as the film, which opens this weekend, will be the last time they see him as the iconic character. He also admitted that as he watched the film, he felt that he was most moved by it than any other "X-Men" movie ever made.

"Logan," which hits theaters this March 3, is directed by and co-written by James Mangold, who admitted that they wanted a more "human" approach to Wolverine. Now that Patrick Stewart exits Professor X role, he joins Hugh Jackman in their final bow as their respective characters. The two long-time friends enjoyed their time in The Graham Norton Show along with Ian McKellen that Stewart took to Instagram to share tha he forgot that he was "on camera" whilst chatting with his friends and co-stars. "Logan" stars Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman, along with "X-Men" star Ian McKellen have known each other since the first Marvel film debuted in 2000. The film was followed by "X2" in 2003 and "X-Men: The Last Stand" in 2006. A spin-off was released in 2011 titled "X-Men: First Class," followed by "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014 and "X-Men: Apocalypse" just last year.

"Logan" is the final film in which fans will get to see Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart as Wolverine and Professor X, respectively. Check out the video from their appearance on The Graham Norton Show below.
