Niall Horan is a popular heartthrob among millions of girls from across the globe. The singer recently sounded quite optimistic about the possibility of a reunion of famous boy band One Direction, which took a hiatus some time back.

Niall Horan Is Optimistic About One Direction Reunion

On Tuesday, Horan, 23, made an appearance on Nova's "Smallzy" Surgery. The Irish musician looked quite confident as he said, "It will definitely happen, of course!"

It was last March when One Direction went on a break. However, the boys always assured their millions of fans and admirers that it was only temporary, CNN noted. Briefly, before the band members declared their intention to go their own ways, Zayn Malik quit to follow his solo career in singing.

Horan welcomed radio host Kent Andrew '"Smallzy" Small into his new flat in Los Angeles, where they enjoyed a candid chat. Horan also mentioned that they would be stupid not to contemplate on the pending formation of their band.

Fans will remember that One Direction was formed in 2010 after they participated in the hit reality show "X Factor". The singer had no qualms about admitting, "It changed our lives, it was the biggest part of our lives." Other members of the band include Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik, who was the first to break away from the group, Daily Mail mentioned.

One Direction's Niall Horan Busy with Solo Career

Just like his other band mates, Horan is currently busy with some solo projects. In fact, his first single "My Town" was released in September last year.

The singer grinned as he admitted that he knew that it will turn out to be a good song even while he was writing it. However, what came up as a pleasant surprise for him was that he got excellent positive reactions from his listeners.The track was highly successful and featured in the top 10 charts in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

As far as his coming out with a new album is concerned, it seems that there is a long wait for that. Though Horan sounded positive about One Direction's reunion, he did not spell out an exact date for it.
