‘Tokyo Ghoul’ New Teaser Photo Revealed, Official English Synopsis Unveiled

The live action movie adaptation of "Tokyo Ghoul" is now a much-awaited as little teasers are now emerging. In fact, there is a new logo and image revealed for the upcoming film that will surprise anime fans.

This is the first time in 12 years Fumika Shimizu cut her long black hair just to portray her character as Toka Kirishima in "Tokyo Ghoul" movie. The 22-year-old Japanese actress is in her full costume complete with the short locks and deadly stares as the superwoman. This is the second photo teaser revealed by the film after unveiling Masataka Kubota, who is best known for his role as Light in "Death Note," snap as Ken Kaneki sporting the legendary ghoul mask, according to The Hyped Geek.

The said iconic ghoul mask was created by Masanori Morikawa, the Christian Dada designer that is a self-confessed "Tokyo Ghoul" avid fan. Meanwhile, the live action movie is set to be released in Japan in the summer of 2017. It will tell the original story as told by Sui Ishida and the movie's synopsis is described by Viz Media (via Comic Book) in English.

It said that just like the normal people, the Ghouls are living among the nation but they are craving to have some human flesh. In "Tokyo Ghoul," Shy Ken Kaneki is eyeing to go on a date with Rize. The latter will agree as she's also interested in devouring his body as she hungrily longing for the man's meat. He will then transform into a half-human half-Ghoul hybrid that will make him included into the mysterious and dangerous world of the Ghouls.

"Tokyo Ghoul" has been known as a popular manga series published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump from 2011 to 2015. Its sequel "Tokyo Ghoul:re" is now currently broadcast. With its popularity, it is now being adapted into a number of movie projects and games.
