The wait for the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 continues with most unperturbed with the recent attention on the Nokia Android Phones. A leaked image caused quite a stir last week, leading many to believe that the Surface Phone was dead. In the end, many came back to their senses and believed that the Nokia handsets were different from the Microsoft phones most have been eagerly awaiting.

Microsoft has opted to remain mum on the state of the Surface Phone 2017 which is one of the highly anticipated revelations for 2017. With Qualcomm bringing the win32 emulation technology to mobile devices on an ARM architecture, most are still in waiting to see if the mobile version can extend what that Microsoft Surface Pro tablet was able to bring to techies.

The speculated features that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 would bring include a device sporting a 5.7-inch touchscreen display with 2K resolution. The device will come with provisions for leading Microsoft programs that include Exchange Server, Office 365, Azure AD and Skype. The device is anticipated to get power backing with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which recently debuted at CES 2017.

Other than that other features may possibly include a 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, a 20 MP main camera, 8 MP front-facing shooter and a built-in QWERTY keyboard. >The most important part of it all is that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 is not canceled, 1redDrop reported.

The device could be one of the big revelations at the Mobile World Congress, an event where it could possibly steal the show alongside other brands expected to showcase their latest smartphone offerings this year. If the expectations pan out, it would be the first in a very long while that Microsoft would reveal a Windows-powered phone. The last to come out was the Lumia 950 which seems like ages ago, Forbes reported.
