Christmas is just around the corner and "Gremlins" is still the perfect movie to watch for many families. Although it was released more than 20 years ago, critics claimed that it has not lost its aura especially for the Christmas season.

There have been a lot of movies released every Christmas season that viewers constantly pick the recent ones and eventually forget about them by next year. However, one parent claimed that she has been desperate to keep her children interested with the movies she picked that when she took out "Gremlins," her children felt like it was a new film that had a distinct effect for the yuletide season.

Per Inquisitr, "Gremlins" presents the unique story of how the purchase of a rare, intelligent creature from China Town by Randall Peltzer will change his life forever. Gizmo, the cute Gremlin character, was the main character which gave the movie a softer side. Other than which, the other kinds who sang Christmas songs were the cherries on top of the perfect holiday movie for the family.

In fact, several fans have recently discussed the significance of "The Gremlins" to the yuletide movie marathon season in a Reddit thread. One fan alleged that although the movie was set to be a horror film, the characters were portrayed in a ridiculous manner that when they sang Christmas songs, their jolliness deemed perfect for the holiday season.

"Gremlins" was such a hit that until now, Krampus continues to create a float dedicated to the franchise with a touch of Christmas decors. A fan suggested that the tone of the film still haunted him, even as an adult, but felt that it was a weirdly perfect movie for him and his family for the Holidays.
