"The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" is significantly the biggest open-world RPG launch of 2017. There are even claims of it becoming the best RPG to be released, with the possibility of overtaking the great achievements claimed by "Witcher 3" and "Fallout 4".

Competition with "Witcher 3" and "Fallout 4"

Since Nintendo's attempt has been too ambitious, "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" must prepare itself to engage in a tight competition with its legendary rivals.

The "Witcher 3" has already proven itself to the RPG world when its compelling storytelling redefined the open-world gaming community. Additionally, the game's gothic undertone adds excitement to the gameplay, further cementing the title's standing.

Meanwhile, its tight competitor, "Fallout 4" has distinct features that could threaten "Breath Of The Wild" and its position in the gaming industry. Banking on freedom, "Fallout" introduced gamers to an incredibly unnatural, yet comprehensive world.

On the other hand, the developers behind the new "The Legend of Zelda" installment must take these challenges and address the game's weak points. To evoke the best feel for an open-world RPG, it must stay away from the Gothic mood of "Witcher 3" and the wild, carefree atmosphere of "Fallout 4".

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" has its original idea and storyline to battle against the top RPG games, which has already been a unique selling points for years, according to iTech Post.

Whether "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" becomes this generation's no. 1 open-world RPG, only time can tell. For now, take a look at the game's Christmas promo snippet below:
