Premier League Will Be Arsenal's If They Can Get This Star Player, Feels Former Gunners Great Ian Wright

Arsenal can't deny themselves the Premier League title if they manage to add Sergio Aguero to their arsenal, feels former England soccer player Ian Wright, according to International Business Times.

The remark from 53-year-old Wright, a former Arsenal great himself about the Argentine national player who plays for Manchester City is bound to create a buzz which it did since he was being inconsistently treated by coach Pep Guardilo. Although Aguero is set to start in Manchester City's all-important home game against Barcelona in Champions Trophy on Tuesday (Nov 1) but yet the speculation over his future has refused to die. And that even after him scoring 13 goals in all competitions already this term.

Don Balon, a Spanish publication, said the uncertainty over Aguero in Manchester City could see other clubs like Arsenal, Chealsea and Tottenham Hotspur trying to get the man who has been with the City since 2011. Wright has in fact found a positive in Guardiola's treatment of Aguero so that it becomes easier for Arsenal to eventually bid for the 28-year-old player who has scored 33 goals for Argentina since his debut in 2006.

"What I would like to happen is Pep continue to mess around with Aguero and Arsenal buy him and win the league off the back of that," Wright told BT Sport on Sunday (Oct 30).

Guardiola, on his part, has tried to overcome the speculation saying Aguero remains a key asset for the City.

"I'd like to convince Sergio how important he is," he said, according to a BBC Sport report, after Aguero struck twice in the 4-0 win at West Bromwich Albion a few days earlier.

"We need him a lot. When he shows that brilliance and belief Sergio is exceptional. We want to try and help him to be better and better. He is fantastic. He is part of the history of this club but I would like to help him still. That is my target," the City coach said.

Interestingly, Wright's words came less than a day after Arsenal annihilated Sunderland 4-1 with both Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud scoring two goals each.
