Is there an official release date already for Microsoft Surface Pro 5?

This could be the major question among consumers who have been waiting for some major announcements about the upcoming upgrade to the Microsoft Surface Pro line.

Based on the latest updates, the American tech company still has not confirmed any official date yet relative to the arrival of their new laptop.

Rumors have suggested, though, that it could be before the end of this year or early 2017.

Amid this scenario, PC-Tablet.com assured consumers that the arrival of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is "imminent" despite the fact that there has been no identified release date yet.

Meanwhile, to create more excitement among the anticipating potential buyers, the report hinted that their patience will surely be paid off because of two huge upgrades that the device will be packed with.

Accordingly, the successor of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 would like to topple the highly-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Pro 2 in terms of specifications, thus, "the integration of Intel Kaby Lake processor and addition of 4K display."

Apart from these, it was surmised as well that along with the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the chance to experience Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 since it will reportedly run on the said operating system.

The report noted that "It offers enhanced and innovative features not yet found in any version of Windows 10."

In the meantime, Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet reported that Microsoft is set to launch a hardware this October.

However, it is still unknown which unit under its Surface line would be unveiled. Thus, it could just be the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Foley further relayed that some of her contacts shared that the unit is currently known as "Cardinal," which could transform your desk into something extra exciting - a "studio."

Do you think the event next month would already mark the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date?
