Report: 'Pokemon Go' Europe, Asian Countries Release Date Coming 'In A Few Days', No Canada Schedule

By | Update Date: Jul 11, 2016 04:50 PM EDT

UPDATE: Niantic Labs and Nintendo have started to solve servers outage issues and may launch "Pokemon Go" in Europe, Japan and other Asian countries in just a few days, according to the Wall Street Journal. However, the report did not mention the Canada and  South America release date.

The Game is available only in three countries, including Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S., therefore, many Android users in other countries are using side-loading APK files in order to download the game, and iOS users are making American accounts for playing this game.

Niantic warned users on "Pokemon Go" official account, "Trainers, only install Pokémon GO via the Play Store or App Store. Downloads from other sources may contain malware or viruses."

Niantic 'Pokemon Go' Servers Status Remains Down, Game "Coming Soon" To Canada And Europe

"Pokemon Go" servers have gone repeatedly down since the augmented-reality game's debut early this month. Niantic Labs confirmed this issue via the game's official Twitter account that trainers may experience sign-up difficulties due to unexpected downloads early this week. Niantic also said they are on it. However, now, on Saturday, many of our readers told us that they are continuing to experience intermittent outages. Players are also complaining the overloaded servers issue on social media.

Venture Beat reported that some trainers could log in, however, the servers issue are causing bugs that nothing shows up on the world map, no Pokemon, no landmarks, no gyms.

Some player said when they relaunch the app, they only have the option to sign up. It looks like if the servers are down, the app will come up with the "sign up with" menu?

Niantic Labs and the Pokémon Company told Polygon that they are aware of the issue, however, they did not give a deadline when the issue could be fixed. We have also asked the Pokémon Company for comments, the company has not replied yet.

On Friday, Pokemon said in a statement, "The enthusiastic response to the launch of Pokémon GO has been tremendous and inspiring. We're aware of the server issues that our players have been experiencing and are working around the clock to resolve them as soon as possible."

Niantic also said on Pokemon Go official Twitter account they are trying to fix this issue:

Slash Gear suggested that playing at night could be a way to face the servers down issue, but it is "not a safe idea".

As we reported on Thursday, an APK file for the Pokemon Go was generated and made available for download. Many players out of permitted countries may want to download it, but Pokemon along with Nintendo are reportedly going to ban those illegal players, therefore, if you have downloaded it, should delete it as soon as you can.

Pokemon Go is available for free now in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Game Spot reported that the mobile game is "coming soon to Canada, Europe, and South America."
