Video: Blue Origin Launches New Shepherd Rocket And Successfully Re-Lands It Second Time

This has made some space travel history. Blue Origin was the first that re-launched and re-landed a reusable rocket to the Karman Line, and then returned on Friday.

"The very same New Shepherd booster that flew above the Karman line (the border between Earth and space) and then landed vertically at its launch site last November has now flown and landed again, demonstrating reuse," Bezos wrote, according to SPACE.

Hence, this private space flight agency created by Jeff Bezos has two credits to its name. It is the first that successfully achieved vertical landing of the rocket. It is also the first to repeat the success.

With its results, the rocket is planning to work on bigger rockets like the full engine BE-4. It will continue to send the New Shepherd back and forth in space.

Its rival company SpaceX shares its goal of trying to achieve rocket landings. It has been successful doing it on land, even as it is trying to repeat the attempt on a drone in the sea. Both companies are trying to find safe ways to make rockets reusable after sending them into space so that they can reduce space travel costs.
