This year's International Men's Day brought the spotlight on the health of men, which usually is on a backseat.

There are many health issues plaguing men, but here are some of the most common ones that men should not ignore:

Chest pain

Chest pain is not just associated with a heart attack in men. According to experts, lung condition such as pneumonia, a pulmonary embolism, or asthma can also associated with constant chest pain.

Breathlessness

Men often complain about falling short of breath, which indicates serious health concerns related to cardiovascular system. However, the condition might also indicate lung diseases such as lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, or pulmonary hypertension.

Fatigue

Men experience extreme tiredness and an ongoing lack of energy almost on regular basis. Sometimes this might lead to negativity and lack of sleep. "Fatigue can also be a symptom of a more serious physical or psychological health condition. Cancer, congestive heart failure, diabetes, arthritis, infections, and kidney or liver disease are a few serious ailments that are linked to fatigue, which should not be ignored. It can also indicate the malfunctioning of the thyroid gland," thinks Dr. Pravin Dehana, general physician, according to TOI.

Urinary crisis

Generally men's genital issues are ignored. Bloody urine or trouble in urinating might be due to kidney disorders. According to experts, bloody urine can be a symptom for prostate cancer and kidney stone or inflammation of bladder.
