There is no cure for Duschenne muscular dystrophy. Patients' life expectancy is usually 20 to 30 years. Symptons commonly begin between ages three and five, and boy boys are affected much more than girls.
Senior citizens are at the top of the list of people at risk for contracting and unfortunately, passing away from the coronavirus. This is in great part due to their weaker immune systems and common existing health problems associated with aging.
