Heart disease can be the number one killer and can start in the teenage years. Most likely, the disease is to happen to women. Cycling can be one exercise that can prevent the risk for cardiovascular disease.

It is reported that women need to understand the importance of heart disease and that it can happen anytime. There are those that consider women as low risk for heart disease, however, it can definitely happen at an early age, according to CBS News.

Some of the risk factors for heart disease may include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and being overweight. Experts are reminding that it is very important for women to know the symptoms of the said disease.

Symptoms To Watch Out For

There are a lot of symptoms that women experience but do not associate with a heart attack. Dr. Annabelle Volgman, a cardiologist shared that there are doctors that will not take women seriously because they are thought to be considered at a low risk for heart attack.

Volgman noted that women may experience strange sensations like difficulty with sleeping, jaw pain, teeth pain, and neck pain. One's weight is also a significant factor for a person to be at risk of heart attack. Additional symptoms may include pressure in the center of the chest, pain in arms, lightheadedness, and nausea.

What Can One Do To Avoid It?

It is important to stay fit and healthy in order to prevent the risk for cardiovascular disease. One exercise that can be effective in fighting the disease is cycling. A study indicated that those who cycle were more likely to keep away from the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

Walking can also be one exercise that may help a person to be fit and prevent a heart attack. However, the study indicated that there was more development on fitness for people who were into cycling. This may be because people who walk tend to commute at a certain distance, as reported by Sky News.

It is important for any person to stay healthy and to exercise. This way, a heart attack can be prevented and there won't be any risks of more deaths.
