There are reports that Netflix may release "Gilmore Girls" Season 2, which will focus on whether Lorelai and Luke become parents or not.

Last year, Netflix announced that it was working together with "Gilmore Girls" Amy Sherman-Palladino (who is the executive producer) on creating a revival. Netflix also released a short revival series in Nov. 2016, which was titled as "A year in the Life."

The four episode series was a hit and left viewers wanting more. Hence, "Gilmore Girls" season 2 may address Rory Gilmore future. In the last episode of the season, it was seen that Alexis Bledel's Rory was pregnant and it was suggested that she was going to be a single parent. Also, at the same time, the show suggested that Jess Mariano was not over Rory.

Netflix has since confirmed that there might be a possibility of a second season after the four-episode season, according to US Magazine. Netflix chief content officer acknowledged that there is hope on another season being produced. He also said that the four episodes released in Nov. 2016 were a success since fans loved it.

Sarandos (Netflix chief content officer) reported that the executive producer and her husband are still at the preliminary stage at this point. Hence, there is no confirmation as to whether "Gilmore Girls" Season 2 will be released or not.

On the other hand, it will not be a surprise to see another Gilmore full revival, especially after it massive success and ratings from viewers, according to USA Today. The four episodes in the revival mainly featured one year in the life of Rory, Emily, and Lorelai. The ending of the last episode could not be concluded as an end for the revival. There are still more stories that the producer needs to emphasize on.
