"Vikings" Season 5 Spoilers Tease Power Struggle

Season 4 concluded just last month and marked the end of Ragnar. But, fans have already started counting the days for the premiere of this hit historical drama that airs on the History channel.

There seems to be no dearth of theories as far as what can be expected in "Vikings" Season 5. Michael Hirst, the show creator has already teased what lies ahead, Christian Today reported.

Hirst had previously indicated that the stakes will be high in the upcoming season due to a fierce power struggle, in which the Vikings will be engaged. Earlier, History teased that Harald will hold a position of power as a new promo showed him wearing a crown.

However, the power-hungry and over ambitious Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) can have other ideas and enter into a battle with him for control. While she had been eyeing the throne for quite some time, it seems unlikely that Harald will relinquish the claim without fighting it out. Eventually, if there is a battle, viewers can expect some nail-biting episodes ahead.
