People have been looking forward to the teased rematch between an older Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul in the third season of "Star Wars Rebels". After all, a new lightsaber battle between the two could mean possible new details to Ben Kenobi's origin story in the "Star Wars" universe. But is it possible that the fight between Ben and Maul will not actually happen at all in "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3? There are speculations that the duel will only be a vision that Ezra sees in the episode "Twin Suns".

The midseason premiere trailer for "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 certainly confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul will see each other again, possibly for the first time since "The Phantom Menace". It was also clear that the older Obi-Wan is ready to duel when he takes out his lightsaber. Some already believe that the rematch will happen in the episode "Twin Suns", where Ezra embarks on a personal mission. But was the fight between Ben and Maul simply a part of the vision that makes Ezra head for Tatooine in the first place?

The synopsis for "Twin Suns" reveals that Ezra has "a vision of Maul" and immediately makes a beeline for Tatooine despite Kanan and Hera's protests. There are speculations that the trip could be kickstarted by a message from Obi-Wan Kenobi calling for all surviving Jedi in the beginning of the midseason trailer, where he warns of a "dark shadow". Ezra could then dream of the duel between Ben and Darth Maul, although it would be better if the fight actually takes place in "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 Episode 20.

Will Ezra reach Tatooine in time to see the epic rematch between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul? "Twin Suns" will air in March. In the meantime, "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 Episode 17 will premiere on Disney XD on February 25.
